I am a Teachers College Columbia University Clinical Psychology Master's student and Carnegie Mellon University graduate with a B.S. in psychology. While there I also had a focus in mechanical engineering where I learned multiple calculus methods, including 3D calculus and differential equations. I also have extensive experience with algebra from my physical science studies. I also have strong literary skills that I've honed at Teachers College, while I while writing research papers and performing literature reviews.
While working as a research assistant and a learning center tutor I have taught many children, adolescents, adults, and college students how to perform various math functions, hence I have a lot of experience with teaching others. I have also taught young children in the martial arts in the past, and enjoy working with children. I also have experience working with groups of adolescents. I teach a group of 12 adolescent boys at a public school in the Bronx as part of a practicum I am taking with the counseling psychology department.
I have training in child psychology, developmental psychology and child psychopathology.
