My name is Carl, and I am the perfect tutor for you!
My teaching style uses a supportive and holistic approach, so that the students can realize their fullest potential at home, in the workplace, and in the community. In respect to my teaching experiences in the Philadelphia and New York City areas, I have proven ability practicing positive youth development techniques. Not only do I recognize the importance of education within young adult learners, but I also possess the confidence to engage this challenge.
I have taught courses in ABE/GED, high school mathematics, and financial literacy for various institutions along with extensive experience in remedial math instruction. My coworkers would consider me to be a creative educator who is passionate about helping student populations reach their full potential through a wide-range of teaching strategies. My students would say that I enjoy creating student-centered learning activities, which prepares learners for success achieving their academic and vocational goals. Similarly, I am comfortable working with people of all backgrounds and I am able to efficiently facilitate group environments and use computer tools to accomplish teaching objectives.
