Ms. M. graduated from The Peabody Conservatory in 2004; during the school years, she was able to participate or be involved in many different forms of music such as jazz, Latin, pop, contemporary Christian and gospel and many more music genres.

Ms. M. is currently a solo violinist of Brooklyn Tabernacle. She has performed in numerous concerts and shows in MD, VA, DC, NY. She has recorded for many string projects, classical, jazz, pop and folk artists. Playing in chamber music with different sets of instrumentation since high school, and still performing, Ms. M. has taught one-on-one lessons in both violin and piano, summer camp for violin and piano at Baltimore School for the Arts, and violin class at Nan-Shan junior high school.

Ms. M.'s goal is to combine her experience with her ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution.

Ear Training

I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in music. One of the most important things about learning music is to train the ear. I do this training a lot with my students.

General Music

I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in music. I have attended music school since elementary school. General music is a very important part for beginners. I teach all of my students general music because it's important to have the knowledge, just like the base/foundation for building a house.

Piano

I started playing piano when I was a 3 year old. I was a major in piano and violin at college. I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in music. I have been teaching more than 15 years for piano one on one lessons. I have taught in a music and arts center, light house academy, B&B Music, etc.

Sight Singing

I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in music. I have been teaching both violin and piano more than 15 years. I realized sight singing is important. It's a necessary tool in helping a lot students "get the picture" of how the song goes by singing. Being able to sight sing also helps you read notes quicker, and it's a good training for rhythm and pitch as well.

Chinese

I am a native Chinese speaker, and have been in the States for over 10 years. I have taught in Chinese for one on one lessons.

Violin

I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in violin. I have been teaching more than 15 years for violin one on one lessons.
