I am a highly motivated tutor with experience tutoring a wide array of mathematics and verbal subjects. My experience includes 3 years of tutoring high school students as well as current experience working with an inner city youth as a Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New York mentor. I have strong academic credentials as a high school AP student and national merit scholar. I was also able to achieve Eagle Scout distinction in my senior year of high school.
I graduated college from the New York University Leonard Stern School of Business with a double major in Finance and International Business. Since graduation I have worked as an equities trader in New York City. More recently, I took the GMAT test and scored a 770/800, which ranked in the 99th percentile of all test takers. I scored a 50 (90th percentile) in the Quantitative section and a 46 (99th percentile) in the Verbal section.
I believe that in order to tutor effectively one must tailor his or her strategies to the unique needs of the individual student. The tutor must create easily understandable lesson plans and make sure that the student is fully involved in each lesson. What sets me apart from other tutors is my past experience and my ability to communicate well with my students.
