I am an undergraduate honors student currently enrolled at Fordham University. I am double majoring in Anthropology and American Studies with a minor in English. I have a vast amount of work experience ranging from law firms to the fashion industry.
I am incredibly thorough and patient person, and my tutoring style reflects that. I believe that one of the most effective ways to learn is to get at the core of the subject, and only then can you begin to build foundations for knowledge. Knowing the 'why' behind the 'how' helps the retention of the knowledge. I try to understand my student's style of learning before I delve into the session to ensure the best results.
Along with working with adults and teens, I also have experience working with children, particularly working with children with dyslexia, ADD, and other forms of learning challenges. I am passionate about youth and feel strongly about the quality of education children receive both at home and at school. I strive to supplement their abilities by helping to reveal and strengthen their cognitive abilities.
My specializations include: English: writing, grammar, spelling; Literature: close analysis and reading; Cultural Studies; Anthropology: conceptual frameworks, ethnographic research; Political Science: comparative politics, international politics; All Subjects: Writing, analytical thinking, and Math: all concepts up to Calculus.
