My name is Joyce and I am currently teaching second grade at a private school in New York City. I graduated from Wake Forest University in 2012 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in math. Before I began teaching, I worked as a student intern throughout many classrooms, as a summer camp counselor, and a tutor. I have always enjoyed being around children and my time teaching, interning, and tutoring has really taught me how to engage and motivate students. I know that each child wants to learn and be successful in school and I believe that I am capable of instilling this believe in my students. I embrace an environment were students are not afraid to express their individuality and ask questions that can further their success in school.
