Professor Margaret S. has a M.A. from New York University in English Literature. As a Professor of Literature and Writing, she has taught at New York University, the New School, Bard College, and the Forum School in Rome, Italy. She has Tutored students in a one-to-one situation in Art History, English and Writing.
Her past experience includes: editor, art critic, teacher and "book doctor" who helps with memoirs, poems, stories, etc. Her diverse art/cultural Essays have been published in the NEW YORK TIMES, ARTFORUM, ART IN AMERICA, CONNOISSEUR, ARTS, ART NEWS, and SCULPTURE MAGAZINE. Her book CROSSING BOUNDARIES was published in 2000 by Mapin Publishing Company and her analysis of form in sculpture, THE EXPRESSIVE EDGE, was published in 2010 by CHARTA ART BOOKS, Milan, Italy.
Ms. S. is completely bilingual, lived for a long time in Rome, and believes that her knowledge of Italy and Italian culture is reflected in her own work, culture and personality.
