Hello there! My background is in elementary education, having received my Bachelor's degree in May of 2008, and my Master's degree with an emphasis on classroom teaching in December of 2009. I currently hold a valid New York State teaching certification in first through sixth grades. I have experience working with all elementary grade levels.
My methods of teaching/tutoring involve presenting content in creative ways to facilitate understanding. As a teacher/tutor, I believe it is important to be able to present concepts, facts, and ideas in a variety of different ways until the student has fully grasped what is being taught. I also believe that repetition and review of content previously taught are essential for ensuring retention.
