Hello!
I'm an experienced and certified teacher in New York State (chemistry, mathematics (7-12). I've been teaching and tutoring for more than 25 years in the following subjects: chemistry, AP chemistry, pre-algebra, Algebra I/II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, SAT Math/Critical Reading/Writing, SAT chemistry and level I math, and the SHSAT and Hunter New York City specialized high school exams.
I can also help you prepare you for the ISEE, SSAT, GRE, GED, TOEFL, and ASVAB exams. For talented and gifted 5th and 6th grade students, I work with them so that they are ready to take the entrance exams for the LAB, SALK, Nest+m, specialized middle schools and the DELTA program.
I'm an upbeat, positive and and engaging instructor who approaches the subject matter with a sense of fun yet seriousness. Education and Experience:
I have a BS in Chemistry (with honors), Minor in Mathematics, MA in Science and Mathematics education from the University of Minnesota. I also have a CELTA foreign language certificate from the University of Cambridge. I have 2 years of International English Language teaching experience: in Krakow, Poland. I also have organic chemistry research from the University of Minnesota.
