Hello! My name is Maggie and I would love to be able to help you better understand nutrition and nutrition related concepts! I have been living in New York City now for 3 years and can understand how challenging it is to manage school and wanting to see and experience the city! I went to school upstate at Syracuse University graduating with a 3.9GPA with a B.S in nutrition in 2009. Since then I completed my Dietetic Internship with CUNY Hunter College and will complete my Masters in Public Health-Nutrition with Hunter this December. I love research, nutrition, science and math! I have had experience helping my siblings with their homework and proofread the work of my current interns work weekly.
As a practicing Registered Dietitian/CDN in the State of New York for the past 2 and a half years I have mastered my counseling and science skills. Currently I am completing my Masters in Public Health from CUNY Hunter college and have continued to remain up to date with the latest nutrition information. In undergraduate and now in my Masters coursework I have excelled within the areas of nutrition, life cycle nutrition, counseling, clinical nutrition, food science and food safety. As a practicing Registered Dietitian with a non-profit in the Bronx I have mastered and can help you understand theories of motivational interviewing, stages of change theory and forms of documentation-ADIME, SOAP and electronic medical records.
