What I have found over the years of working with people, kids included, is that listening and hearing what is spoken and unspoken is the key to assisting them in reaching their desired goals. In my many years of movement training, theatre experience and teaching, encouragement and enthusiasm are the bridges to learning and embodying the information. I have 22 years experience of working with people one-on-one. I am what I teach: integrity, honesty and clarity. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with you or your children.
I have a BA in Theatre and Dance, and graduate work in movement therapy. I am also a published poet and painter. My approach to teaching is more like facilitating an open
space for learning to take place. I enjoy reading and my approach to academics is the subject at hand and also the full body experience of the information: embodiment. I could help your child find the fun in learning as well as the boundaries and discipline to bringing their attention to the subject, fully. I was a student who always needed to move when I studied, some kind of motor activity to help me imprint the information, make it come alive. I love learning, myself and pass that delight on to other students.
