My tutoring approach is diagnostic, patient and goal-oriented.
I initially try to diagnose my student's problems in each topic I tutor. Then I patiently clear all misconceptions and and other barriers. With an eye on the requirements of his or her exam ahead I tutor the student to achieve the highest grade; for my student's success is my greatest pride.
In my 18 years of teaching I have taught students between the ages of 6 and 40 years (at elementary, middle, high and college levels).
At teacher training I achieved a certificate with distinction in practical teaching, mathematics, science and in principles of education. This gave me the belief that teaching is my calling.
I have taught and tutored students in schools and colleges in Sierra Leone, Britain and the US. By comparison, I like tutoring much more than classroom teaching, as it gives me the opportunity to concentrate on one student, without the distraction that often comes from classroom administration and discipline.
The compliments I get from my students are contributory to my continued desire to tutor more and more students. As I revel in the success of my students and in their compliments to me for such success, I work tirelessly.
