I received my B.ARCH from one of the country's top schools for Architecture, as well as receiving a minor in History. I am a firm believer in that the best way to learn something, especially a computer program, is to learn by doing, and have taught myself a number of programs, as well as having taken courses throughout school. My well rounded education provided me with the knowledge of a number of computer programs related to design and presentation, including 3d modeling, rendering, photo editing, drafting, and other elements. Currently I am employed as an architectural designer at a top NYC architecture and interiors firm.
During high-school I was top of my class, and my favorite subject was History. I was an International Baccalaureate scholar as well as an AP student, and I received high scores in History and English. My writing skills and my ability to organize my thoughts and information pertaining to literature and history stuck with me through college, and have helped me in a number of other subjects. I minored in History, and have always held an interest in that subject. I know that for many students history comes last, and is of no interest whatsoever, thus making the information harder to grasp and even harder to put into an essay that makes sense. I am not a certified teacher, but I have helped my brother and cousins get through high-school and get into college. They started with very low grades and we were able to pull them out of a major slump and get a GPA that was worthy of an acceptance into higher education.
Architecturally I use 2D and 3D programs on a daily basis. AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Sketchup, ect I am VERY familiar with. If you are looking for a tutorial on how to get started with these programs, or need help with homework for a specific class, I am definitely someone who can help.
Part of my architectural education was based around presentation graphics, graphic essays, and graphic representation. Thus I have become very familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, namely Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design, as well as with putting together graphic presentations, Logos, and layouts.
I am also an avid traveler, and have spent a lot of time abroad. My love for history, as well as the arts, has made experiencing other cultures a very important part of my life. Originally from the west coast, I am an outgoing person and would love to help make things easier for you or your child even if it is something as simple as writing a history essay, studying for history AP or IB exams, or learning AutoCAD or Rhino 3d programs for college courses!
