I worked for five years in museum education at the Museum of Jewish Heritage and the New York Transit Museum working with students of all ages. In the past year and a half I earned my Masters in Education at Columbia University. I volunteered in an after school program in Harlem teaching writing to 6th graders and 10th graders. In addition for the entire 2011-2012 school year I worked at a high school in Brooklyn, teaching ELA, ESL and U.S. History. I am very familiar with New York State Standards, curriculum, and Regents Exams.
I like to individualize my teaching and tutoring so that students get targeted instruction in the areas that they need most. I have had experience working with a wide range of learners including English learners, students with special needs, as well as gifted students.
