Hello parents and students! I have experience tutoring for general classwork and homework or for exam preparation, such as the Living Environment Regents. I have taught at the middle school, high school and college level. I attended Barnard College, where I majored in Biology and minored in Psychology. My Master's in Science Education, Biology 7-12, from Teachers College has prepared me to teach in a way that promotes active learning by the student and utilizes students' strengths. As an undergraduate at Barnard College, I majored in Biology and have since been teaching Biology lab to Barnard students. I am certified to teach Biology (grades 7-12). My Masters in education as well as my studies in Biology make me a knowledgeable tutor who strives to make science relevant and engaging.

ADD/ADHD

As a psychology minor in college, I have taken courses that included topics such as learning disabilities. I have also taken special education courses as part of my Masters program and have taught in a school for students with learning disabilities. I have experience tutoring students with learning disabilities, as well.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
