I graduated from Hunter College earning a degree in History and, currently, I’m attending Fordham University pursuing a Master's degree in Education to teach Social Studies general and exceptional students 7-12 grades.
At Hunter, I did extensive reading and writing for history assignments. In that process, I developed strong analytical skills and methods to carefully select portions of readings to respond to long essays. At Fordham, I have learned different practices to deliver knowledge and different ways to be an effective teacher. Through my special education classes, I learned how to implement teaching methods to meet the needs of exceptional students.
I’m fluent in Spanish and have an extensive knowledge of national and international cinema. For over eight years, I worked for a film festival where I watched films for educational purposes. The content in those films complemented the knowledge I obtained in my history courses.
I am very patient and hold the belief that all people have the capability of learning.
