I am a trained elementary teacher and literacy specialist from Vanderbilt University. I taught fifth grade reading/language arts for two years, and all content areas in fourth grade while living in Texas. My specialty is reading and writing, and my masters degree is in Reading Education. I like to help students develop foundational literacy skills as well as deeper comprehension of English. However, I also have knowledge of elementary and middle school math, science, and social studies. I am currently a Learning Specialist at an independent school in Manhattan.
