I have been using Photoshop since Version 1.
I have used it on feature films, TV shows (CSI_ Miami), video games and animated children's TV shows.
It is an indispensable tool for a computer artist and photographer like myself.
4 years ago I helped start a college in Chicago (before moving back to the New York area this past August) with some other people called Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. I chaired the Animation and Visual Effects discipline. I taught Photoshop to many people who had never used it before, and I can do that same for you.
I have 21 years experience in the industry, and would be happy to teach you how to better use Photoshop!
I worked on 7 feature films, in the capacity of Visual Effects Supervisor and/or Visual Effects Artist. I studied Film in college, and produced some short films, one of which was honored at the New York Horror Film Festival. I sold a screenplay to Republic Pictures. I also teach a film production course at the University of Connecticut.
I have been using Maya since before it was even released to the public. I was an Alpha and Beta tester, and have used it ever since.
In the year 2000, Sybex published my book "Mastering Maya Complete 2" which became not only a best seller in the animation instruction market, and was the first book published about how to use Maya, but was used in major visual effects facilities around the world to train their artists on Maya. It was used in places such as Industrial Light and Magic, Rhythm & Hues, Midway Games, and Sony Picture Imageworks.
In 2007 I was asked to write the Animation and Visual Effects curriculum for a new college in Chicago, and was hired as the Chair of that department. I stayed there for 4 and a half years, and in that time we reached a 70% placement rate within the industry. In fact, one of my first graduates was hired at Rhythm & Hues to work on feature films.
I continue to work in VFX and Animation, as well as teach and tutor. I was hired 3 times by Autodesk (the creators of Maya) to teach online MasterClasses in Maya.
I look forward to showing students how to create amazing worlds with Maya!
I went to college for Film/TV production. My first job out of college was manager of a local cable TV station, where I worked on many productions, assisted producers on their productions, edited TV shows, arranged schedules, etc. My next job was a video editor at a post production facility in New Jersey. My clients included Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NJ, Anheuser-Busch Inc., Hillary Clinton, among others. I have just recently edited a 30 second TV commercial that aired on ESPN during the basketball playoffs.
