I am a professional actress, writer, teacher, and acting coach based in New York City for over thirty years. I have appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway, in regional theatre, commercials, film, and television.
After graduating from Northwestern University, I had the good fortune to study acting with Uta Hagen, Shelley Winters, F. Murray Abraham, and Geraldine Page--some of the greatest actors of their time.

I am certified as a substitute teacher in the state of California. I have taught English to middle school and high school students as a sub in New York City private schools.

Other teaching and coaching experience includes: NYU, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute NYC, NY Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and David Kagen’s Film Acting School in Los Angeles. I taught and coached creative drama, on-camera, scene study, and audition technique at the Children’s Acting Academy in Manhattan for eleven years, to children ages 5-18. I also directed 3rd year Audition showcases at NYU.

Privately, I have coached actors and speakers at all levels: children trying out for Broadway, television and film; middle school students auditioning for LaGuardia High School and other NYC arts high schools; high school seniors auditioning for NYU, UCLA, etc; and adult actors prepping for professional auditions.

Reading

I have a minor in Literature from Northwestern University. My major, Performance Studies (Oral Interpretation,) required that I learn the mechanics of reading and writing, so as to be able to understand and perform ALL types of literature: plays, poetry, short stories, and novels. I am a writer and actor as well as a teacher, and employ my enthusiasm for performance in my teaching.

I am a professional actress with over 30 years experience on and off Broadway, in TV, film, commercials, and regional theatre.

I hold a BS in Oral Interpretation from Northwestern University and have studied with some of the great actors of our time.

I teach acting and coach acting students of all ages--as prep for entrance to high school or college programs, or for professional auditions.

Public Speaking

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Oral Interpretation (now called Performance Studies) from Northwestern University. I began competing in Speech competitions in high school and college and am now a professional actor, teacher, and private acting coach. One of my functions as a coach is to help students gain confidence in speaking as they analyze and interpret the material they are presenting. I can also help students learn to develop a better "ear" to correct any dialect concerns.
