I am a PhD. in Pharmaceutics candidate nearing my graduation in a few months. I currently tutor at the Academic Resources Center ARC at my University and have been tutoring General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutics, Advanced Pharmacokinetics, Algebra, Precalculus, Physics, and several other undergraduate and graduate courses for 5 years. I can provide recommendation letters from both students and the Director of the Academic Resource Center upon request.
For the past two years, I have also taught a short course at the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy to graduate students and students from the industry. A copy of the teaching certificate along with recommendations can also be provided. I have also been a teaching assistant for the undergraduate chemistry and pharmacy labs.
Prior to tutoring in the University, I have tutored privately for more than 5 years with students as young as 8 years old. Being able to connect with my younger students is one of the the things that really sets me apart. The students from Pre-K to high school see me as a friend and with my enthusiastic and energetic approach, I'm also able to hold on to their attention and keep them looking forward to the tutoring sessions!
I am very patient and I love teaching. It brings me great joy when I am able to help a student understand something and I have many students that come back to me every semester as they love my teaching style. I am flexible, however I do require a 24 hour notice for cancellations. I look forward to being your tutor.
