I love being a student because it helps me to be a better teacher and mentor. Professionally I have taught all levels from kindergarten to university undergraduates. I have been a resident artist in schools all over the US with some of my students winning awards for their creative work. As a life-long student, I know just how it feels to master the learning curve in a new subject.
We all have different learning styles. Some are visual learners, some auditory and some kinesthetic. Many of us are a combination of these. It is my job to help you shine by working with your individual learning style.
One general proven study habit that helps students: Practice new material in short bursts. You will learn more from ten 10-minute practice/study sessions than you will from one 100-minute session. Try it and see.
I am passionate about the natural world and about writing. I have a Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism, CELTA certification to teach English as a second language, and extensive travel experience.
I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your learning goals.
