Chemistry is a subject that I have studied, practiced, taught and enjoyed over the last 10 years. Effective teaching involves time, dedication, patience, understanding, firmness, and a sense of humor. True learning incorporates active participation by the student, inside as well as outside the classroom. My main focus is to teach in a way that will reach all my students. I enjoy the challenge of working not only with different learning styles, but very different chemistry backgrounds, from honors students to students who have struggled with chemistry.
I earned my BS degree in Romania and my Ph.D in the US at the Graduate Center of CUNY. I have proficiency in general chemistry and organic chemistry at all levels.
