Salutations!
I am currently a Volunteer Coordinator/Community Based Organizations Liaison at Common Cents. I completed my BA (graduating cum laude) in English and American Literature at NYU. As an undergraduate I won prizes for my essays and poetry; I was also a member of the NYU Presidential Honors Program, which enabled me to take special courses and to attend events around the city. I have also received an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, where I served on the editorial staff for Lit magazine.
My tutoring style is personalized to the learning needs of each of my students. Throughout my long and extensive career as an educator, my body of teaching knowledge has grown to encompass elementary school, middle school, high school, college and graduate level curricula. Experienced in teaching special ed, I have achieved great success helping students of all academic levels reach their highest potential. Whether the subject is calculus, the Microsoft Office suite, essay writing, or test prep, I have a knack for making my instruction clear and unforgettable.
Although I live in Washington Heights, traveling to another location is no inconvenience for me. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you would like to schedule a session.
Best regards,
Robert
