As a former New York City prep school student, I have experience in all subjects students are facing within the classroom as well as SAT, ACT testing. I have a passion for history (I minored in Art History at New York University) as well as literature. With enough notice I can prep myself on any subject and come ready to assist any student. I work well with young kids also, and can share my passion for reading so that they too might be able to grow to love it. I am an excellent essayist and a great editor, having been trained in the hourglass essay method, so even if the task is merely looking over a paper, I feel confident that with my help, a B paper can be transformed into an A paper.
I majored in Theatre at NYU and if desired can coach young actors, but also, help students to become more confident in terms of public speaking and interview etiquette (for jobs, colleges etc). I am an incredibly patient person and work very well with students with some learning difficulties or perhaps just need a bit more time personal help in order to master a subject.
I truly do love learning and love helping other people enjoy it as much as I do. I am also willing to do whatever it takes to help a student learn, even if that is to move outside the classroom. We are lucky enough to be New Yorkers and live in a city where so many resources are at our fingertips. We have countless amazing museums as well as some incredible libraries to explore!
