I was born and bred in Italy, which I left several years ago to travel and live abroad, spending three years in England and then moving to New York. Though I had tutored before in Italy, I had never thought that teaching Italian would become so meaningful and important to me. Through teaching my language, in fact, I express my love and appreciation of my culture and its values, and I keep my bonds to them alive.
During the years abroad, I have been a language student myself, so I know the difficulty and the frustration one can experience while studying a foreign language.
For whatever reason you may need to learn Italian (business, studies, travel, cultural heritage or just for pleasure), my commitment will be on your expectations and needs, according to your learning ability, style and pace.
I am a dedicated and approachable teacher – you will study in a focused but relaxed environment, where even total beginners feel comfortable speaking in their new language and struggles can be expressed.
My approach as a teacher is to adjust my method to every single student in a process that involves listening as much as talking. It’s an ongoing exchange where I make my teaching more effective by learning about students’ difficulties.
My goal is to improve students motivation and results. And, in the end, to make their experience with the Italian language and with Italian culture as enjoyable and stimulating as possible.
