My relevant experience in science establishes me as an excellent candidate to be your tutor! I graduated with an Honors Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Queens College, City University of New York. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I was an active member of the Biology Honor Society while serving as the Vice-President. In addition, I participated in the Honors of Math and Natural Science Research Program. I graduated with Biology Honors, cum laude and a 3.7 science GPA. Additionally, my experiences in healthcare and clinical research enhance my science knowledge providing me with hands on research experience.
As a Biology Tutor I have experience working with students of all levels teaching mostly Biology in addition to Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Algebra. Additionally, I have experience teaching high school level biology and more specifically for the Living Environment Regents. I have worked as a homework helper, tutoring many subjects from English to History. I always aim to help my students gain confidence to be able to complete their homework. I try to help my students when I see them struggling but also encourage them to solve problems on their own. I find that while tutoring, it is not only my job to teach the subject matter but also to help the student develop healthy study skills to one day complete the work on their own. I enjoy working as a tutor and I find great satisfaction in teaching others.
