There is a light that flickers in a student’s eye when they understand something that they never thought they could before. The middle school age group is particularly appealing to me, because students are very impressionable, interested in learning, and open to new concepts. However, for the same reason I am also interested in high school students. There is something almost daring in the attempt to teach new concepts to this group. Regardless, like I mentioned before, although teaching can be the most challenging action to attempt at times it is undoubtedly the most rewarding. I work hard and I expect my students to work hard as well. It's a mutual learning experience for both of us and I'm excited to meet the lights that will shine out of my students.
