I am a firm believer in the power of one-on-one teaching and learning, which can be an immensely educational experience for all parties. I believe that learning is a collaborative process, and I seek to understand my students' needs and interest so I can adjust my teaching style to suit them best. I understand the importance of placing information in context that is easy for people to understand and relate to, not just because it makes them more likely to remember it, but because it will make them truly enjoy the studying process and become lifelong learners.
I've worked with everyone from first-time language learners in their seventies to high schoolers wanting a little extra help with Shakespeare. Regardless of age, level, and subject matter, I am eager to meet and develop relationships with new students. Together, we'll work to improve their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of learning.
