I'm a professional photographer whose photography credentials include the Certified Professional Photographer designation, awarded to less than 5 percent of the Professional Photographers of America - PPA - based on demonstrated knowledge, experience, skill and ethical business practices. In addition to PPA, I am a long time member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
I'm also a licensed by the New York State Education Department as a Photography Teacher and I'm on the faculty of the New York Institute of Photography, the oldest and largest photography school in the world. In this role, I help both aspiring amateurs and professional photographers hone their skills every day.
I have a broad non-academic background and skill set which I enjoy sharing with others. I've traveled to over 50 countries from Africa to Australia, and read extensively and study a wide variety of topics.
We all have different learning styles, and I'll work with you to find what works best for you.
Some people learn verbally, through spoken or written words. Others need to "picture" things graphically. They "get it" when they have a diagram, graphic, photograph, or drawing to clarify the subject. Some need the physical experience of actually doing a task to learn a skill. I'm patient and happy to try all of these approaches to find the right way for you to learn. And it should always be a fun and relaxed experience.
Patient, kind, generous, soft spoken, punctual, reliable, presentable, clean, well groomed. No hangups, no issues, no bad habits.
