Andy is a freelance photographer, photo artist and instructor. She is an event photographer specializing in Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and Pet Photography. As an artist, she integrates photography with watercolor, acrylic paints, pastel chalk and pencils to create unique one-of-a-kind photo paintings. For a painterly effect she shoots at slow shutter speeds to create blurry dreamlike images. She prints on a variety of materials, including textured photo papers and canvas, as well as traditional photographic paper. Andy’s main areas of "focus" are nature, people, animals, seascapes and urban scenes. Her work has been exhibited at the Memorial Arts Museum in Rochester, NY, Manhattan galleries and various Soho Gallery restaurants. She is represented by Busacca Gallery in San Francisco, CA. She teaches lessons in basic digital photography and workflow (helps organize your photos on your computer so you can find them easily), in addition to workshops on mixed media photography.
Andy is a member of Professional Women Photographers and is currently the Outreach Director. She is founder and co-chair of its Community Service Committee and Mentoring Program. In 2009, one of her photos was displayed in The Metropolitan Museum of Art Great Hall at a Special Event with Learning Leaders. In June of 2010, she won the Volunteer Group of the Year Award from Women In Need (WIN). Her photographs of portraits were also displayed on IPEVO Wireless Digital Frame at the MacWorld Expo/Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. She has been in exhibits juried by Joyce T., Harvey S. and Elinor C.
