Even if you know everything about that math test, unless you sleep enough, all your efforts may go fruitless. If you are writing a story or a poem, stay awake all night.

Getting a good nights sleep is critical, but taking it a step further, there is a way to use sleep to sort of "hack" your brain into retaining more of what math formulas you study.

If you study right up until you go to sleep, you will retain more information in your short-term memory. Which your mind will transfer into your long term memory as you sleep.
