I was born in Peru and was raised in New York City. I have a BA in Spanish Literature from Queens College. I have worked as a Spanish High School teacher, as well as, an Executive Assistant in the financial sector. I also speak Portuguese, Italian and French.

I bring to the table different experiences in the academic, as well as, the corporate world and both have utilized my skills as a teacher, translator and interpreter. I am patient, creative and flexible. I want to get to know the person so that I can learn how they learn a language. Everyone is different. The session will be set up for him/her alone and their respective needs. I have taught from ages 12 - 45 and I love a challenge. There is nothing more rewarding than having a student finally achieve their goal of speaking and understanding a language and its nuances.

Portuguese

I have studied Portuguese for many years and currently working in Finance using my Portuguese.

I have lived in Portugal and I bring to the table a love for the language and the people. I currently work with Brazilians and have helped other Latin Americans learns Portuguese and its pronunciation. I have also translated the language and taught young adults.

Yoga

I started doing Yoga when I was 14 years of age on my own. Bought a little book and started practicing the exercises. I, to this day, remember this very inexpensive book. Little did I know that this book would embark me on a journey that 27 years later would make me a Certified Integral Yoga Beginners I teacher. I have taught privately on an individual basis.
