I believe there is no such thing as a difficult or boring subject. I can make it interesting and easy to understand. I can help you realize the why so you can accomplish the how with leadership, confidence and pride. My tutoring and teaching experience spread from middle school to college level. I have tutored children in one-on-one sessions and in small groups. Recently I worked in the after-school STEM program as a New York State Academy Fellow. In the STEM program, I taught science, technology, engineering and math via robotics that led my students to improve in science, math and confidence by showcasing their own creativity. I taught Introductory Genetics (think fruit flies and peas) and Developmental Biology discussion sections at the university level. Each class included group work as well as individual office hours to help students with individual issues and problems. Now thought WyzAnt, I have been tutoring high and middle school math, chemistry and all science subjects for almost three years. In addition, I have help students prepare for SAT in science and math and high school entrance exams.
I have received my bachelor's in Biological Sciences and master's degrees in Developmental Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. My work took me to the University of Chicago where I worked in Immunology lab and the Rockefeller University where I work in Sensory Neuroscience lab. I am an avid history buff and a photographer.
