I'm a Bilingual Math and Spanish teacher/tutor with a B.A. from Yale University. I currently teach and tutor at The Beekman School, a private high school in Manhattan (subjects: Algebra, Geometry, and Spanish I - IV).
I have over 5 years of experience teaching Math -- with an emphasis on Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry -- and Spanish, at all levels. I also assist in preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, SHSAT, the Regents Exams, and New York State Tests. I have native fluency in Spanish, and I've studied Spanish grammar, usage, and literature at the college level (a copy of my Yale transcript is available upon request).
I currently teach at The Beekman School, a private high school in Manhattan, and I tutor students of various ages and schools such as The Allen-Stevenson School, Spence, Chapin, Horace Mann, Wagner, Loyola, and Columbia University. I find tutoring to be especially rewarding because of the personal attention I can give each student, and also because I can cater the lessons -- the pace, structure, materials, etc. -- to each student's unique needs.
I have excellent references, available upon request. I have a sliding rate which depends on the location, duration, and frequency of the sessions, as well as the needs of the student. I do my best to accommodate all students.
