Currently, I am only working with clients who need editing help - both with the content and mechanics - of graduate school, college, or high school level essays, projects or dissertations and any business-related writing: letters, resumes, presentations and the like. I work via telephone consultation and exchanged documents.

I am a happily married instructor with a Ph.D. in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston. Moreover, I have taught for over 13 years at either the university or high school level. My students find me educational and entertaining. (For university students, I am well-versed in literary theory and cultural studies.)
My tutoring sessions connect academics to “the real world.” I incorporate concepts from the other disciplines into my lessons so my students have a bigger, wider, deeper, and stronger contextual net of knowledge that can catch and hold more information.
The skills needed for reading and writing are no different from those needed when we were hunters and gatherers. While hunting, we needed to remain calm, stay aware of our environment, and interpret the signs we encounter. Reading is no different. One needs the same sustained concentration while hunting down the meaning of a text or crafting one's thoughts into an essay.
