I graduated with a B.A in philosophy from the City College of New York. While in college, I did very well in the French classes I took for my core requirements.
My experience includes a year in 2003 and 2004 volunteering at the East Harlem School at Exodus, I spent time tutoring students in the 5th through 8th grade in pre-algebra and introductory algebra. As part of my duties as a volunteer at the East Harlem School, I also tutored pre-K children in basic math and reading at a nearby after school program. Currently, I am a volunteer at Street Squash where I tutor 8th grade students once a week.
While I tutor, I want the students to not only tell the student the correct way to answer a problem, but also to understand the logic of solving said problems so related problems can be more easily done.
