I'm a graduate of Princeton University with a passion for teaching. I enjoy leading students through difficult course material and preparing them for standardized exams. I believe that learning is a process and that tutoring should make that process more manageable.
My tutoring service focuses on test prep. I've scored as high as the 99th percentile on the math and chemistry sections of the GRE, GMAT, MCAT, SAT, SAT Subject and AP exams. I've also obtained high combined scores in the math and verbal sections of the SAT (99th percentile) and GRE (98th percentile) exams.
Over the past 6 years, many students have gained confidence simply by working with me for only one session. For each subsequent lesson, I always try to understand what students expect of tutoring and put them in the best possible position to succeed. Not only do my lessons include customized worksheets and study guides, but they also help set the correct mental focus and attitude for taking any exam. Consequently, many students have described my sessions as being very productive.
My services also cover college and high school courses. I've successfully worked with local students at Columbia, NYU, Hunter, and other CUNY schools, using past exams and lecture notes I've collected over the years.
Lastly, I prefer providing lessons online, since that allows me to use more supplemental material. However, I am fine with traveling within Manhattan. I am also open to negotiating lessons in Queens and Brooklyn.
