After serving as the U.S. Military Academy historian for 30 years, I am returning to other fields of interest -- history and mathematics. In addition to teaching a history course at West Point, I taught several U.S. History courses and political science courses at SUNY Brockport. Before I received my Ph.D., I was an instructor in the History Department at the University of Pennsylvania for two years and also tutored some high school students in American history.
Most of my tutoring experience, however, has come in the area of mathematics. While in college I tutored some women in mathematics for the GED. Currently I'm tutoring a gentleman and a lady in algebra and geometry for the GED. I tutored two gentlemen in math for the ASVAB so they could enter the armed forces and tutored a woman in college algebra to enable her to pass a test exempting her from taking the actual course. I tutored my son and daughter in math through high school and my son went on to major in computer science and math at Carnegie Mellon University and my daughter majored in mechanical engineering at Bucknell.
