Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Economics

I have studied economics, and economic policy for the past four years now. I am familiar with several schools of thought including neoclassical, Marxian and Keynesian economics.

Government & Politics

I have graduated with an Honors degree in political science. I am most familiar with the American political system with the majority of my coursework concentrated in understanding policy formation and execution. I am also very familiar with political philosophy and the history of American political thought.

Linear Algebra

I have not only aced an honors course in linear algebra but have been using it consistently in my study of advanced microeconomic models. I also have some experience tutoring the subject within the math department at my university.

Political Science

My bachelor's degree is in political science. My primary focus was American political systems and public administration, but as part of my curriculum I studied political thought and American political thought. We were also required to learn the foundations of comparative political systems and international relations.

Writing

As a political science student I have written and edited many papers, some of which exceeded 25 pages. I have also aided many family members and other students in editing drafts of their own papers.
