Algebra 1

ALGEBRA I
Algebra I is the foundation for math reasoning. It is the bridge from the concrete to the abstract study of mathematics. Topics include simplifying expressions, evaluating and solving equations and inequalities, and graphing linear and quadratic functions and relations. Real world applications are presented within the course content and a function's approach is emphasized.

Algebra 2

ALGEBRA II
This course is an extension of the topics first seen in Algebra I and provides advanced skills in algebraic operations. Additionally, linear and quadratic functions and relations, conic sections, exponential and logarithmic functions, graphing, and sequences and series will be explored.

Computer Science

My work as a computer scientist includes
a) designing and building software;
b) developing effective ways to solve computing problems, such as storing information in databases, sending data over networks or providing new approaches to security problems; and
c) devising new and better ways of using computers and addressing particular challenges in areas such as robotics and computer vision.

Electrical Engineering

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and I have a very strong background in math and technology. In addition to my engineering/technical work, I have been tutoring a wide variety of students from elementary school to college because of my passion and my desire to help students succeed.
In all, I have well over 20 years of experience in tutoring.

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel training is done in the following format: basic, intermediate and advance. The scope of the course can cover spreadsheet formatting, copying data even inserting pictures in a workbook to performing tasks such as running calculations on data and sorting and filtering numeric data. In this course, the student will extend his or her knowledge into some of the more specialized and advanced capabilities of Excel by automating some common tasks, applying advanced analysis techniques to more complex data sets, collaborating on worksheets with others, and sharing Excel data with other applications. It all depends on the student’s specific need in order to succeed by having a fun and enjoyable experience.

Precalculus

Precalculus consists of the math subject skills a student needs to understand calculus. It includes arithmetic, algebra, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, and, most of all, functions because they are an essential part of calculus.
My lessons will give the students the tools necessary in arithmetic, algebra and geometry that they need. This precalculus course is built on all of the student's previous mathematical knowledge and experience.
