I graduated from Mercy College in August 2011 with my Master of Science degree. I am certified in early childhood and childhood education, both in general education and special education. I have been substitute teaching since I graduated with both general education and special education students. I have volunteered and worked as a 1:1 aide with students on the autism spectrum, helping students with various academic and daily living skills. I also volunteered at a preschool, which utilized the applied behavior analysis methodology.
I believe that it is important to give students encouragement and to make learning enjoyable. It is important to break down subject matter into smaller tasks and to build upon prior skills. I am available to tutor your child at your house or your local library.
