I have been tutoring mathematics, computer science, SATs (math and verbal), and other subjects for over ten years (since I was 12 years old). I have a long record of successful students in almost every subject. My credentials include tutoring at three different tutoring academies, where I taught both large classes as well as one-on-one sessions with individual students. I earned a double major from Columbia University in both mathematics and computer science, where I graduated magna cum laude.
Here are the subjects I can teach:
--Algebra 1 and 2
--Calculus 1-4 (derivatives, integration, vector calculus, multivariate)
--Ordinary differential equations
--Partial differential equations
--Other advanced mathematics
--Programming in C++, C#, Perl
--MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook
I guarantee results. My students typically will go up by one or two letter grades within a few sessions. My SAT students improve their scores by 100-400 points.
Thanks for reading!
I have worked with C# for more than six years, working in .NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. I began my training at Columbia University with a double bachelors degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I trained at Microsoft Corporation where I worked as an MVP software engineer and wrote extensive, robust code in C#. I have also worked in the financial services industry writing extensive code in C# for over five years. I also have a patent for a project that I created in C#.
I graduated with a bachelor of science in computer science and mathematics from Columbia University, graduating magna cum laude. I worked in .NET C# at Microsoft for 2.5 years in Redmond, WA, where I worked on the Office team. In 2008, I relocated to New York City and have worked in .NET 4.0, C#, Java, Spring, DevExpress, T-SQL and more in the financial industry.
I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University where I graduated with magna cum laude honors. I have extensive work experience as well.
I took Ordinary Differential Equations as well as Partial Differential Equations at Columbia University where I scored an A+ in ODE as well as an A in PDE. I was invited to be the teaching assistant for ODE, and my responsibilities included acting as interim professor, holding independent class and prep sessions, and grading homework and exams.
I took Discrete Mathematics at Columbia University where I scored an A+ in the class, with the highest point average. I even found an error on one of the exams and was the only student to have answered the exam problem in question correctly. I was invited to be the head teaching assistant for the course every semester after the one which I took it, where I managed other teaching assistants, acted as interim professor, held independent class and prep sessions, and graded exams.

Lawrence is great — My daughter just started tutoring with Lawrence this week, preparing her for the SAT's she took on Sat, and will take again this November. They met three times and Christine felt ready when she took her test Sat. Lawrence is extremely knowledgeable but, more importanly, he is patient and able to teach Christine so she gets it. I wish I started this sooner! ...
