I am a certified Secondary school science teacher with the New York State Department of Education. I have a passion for science and I am eager to share my knowledge with the inquisitive young minds. Before starting out as a science teacher, I have worked as a Marine Biologist in India and developed an oyster demonstration project in the East River in New York City. Thus I have had the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of science.
As a substitute teacher, I have had the advantage of working with children of different ages from various backgrounds. As a long term substitute teacher, I have also had the responsibility of preparing lesson plans working in collaboration with other teachers.
As a tutor, I intend to motivate students in discerning their strengths and abilities by providing a stimulating learning experience that encourages students to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence to realize their full potential.
Given my experience working at the elementary and middle schools in New York City, I believe my diverse background will be of immense value to students as a tutor.
