Communications and Motion Design are two of my greatest passions, and I feel fortunate to have been able to work both professionally and as a freelancer in this area for the past several years. In this time, I have been able to grow both personally and professionally in a high-paced multimedia work environment while constantly expanding my skills to learn new and exciting technologies and techniques. I hope to now bring my experience and love for communications to Mildred Elley by receiving the available position as an Adjunct Instructor for your Introduction to Photoshop class.
I use the Adobe Creative Suite daily in my workflow as a Motion Designer and am highly familiar with both its interface and compatibility with many of the Adobe Suite products as well as third-party applications. During my time as a college student, a status I held while concurrently holding a full-time networking position there, I was able to act as a tutor to both Digital Graphics and Multimedia Design students as well as students in other programs in the best uses of the current software applications. I addition, I worked as a teaching assistant in the DGM program for the Digital Video Editing and Compositing class for a mod, helping the department design the curriculum and methodology for the class. I found this experience both rewarding and challenging, as it taught me a very individualized approach towards teaching in a smaller class environment and helped the students succeed in understanding challenging concepts quickly and successfully. I thoroughly enjoy tailoring programs to meet individual needs, as the success of the student is reflected by the manner in which they are engaged in the material.
I look forward to receiving the opportunity to bring this same successful approach to your tutoring.
