Throughout my years of teaching, I have really enjoyed working with elementary school students. Engaging students in learning and being able to share my creativity with young people has always been my passion. An important role of a teacher is providing students with the opportunity to be successful through enthusiastic implementation of the subject matter.
Although I have enjoyed my 9 years of classroom teaching, I am looking for an opportunity to do what I enjoy most, which is working with students and helping those who are struggling, but on a much smaller scale. As a child I always struggled through my course work, especially math. That is why I have the experience and the patience to help all students succeed. I always told my students that I would do whatever I needed to do to help them understand; there is more than one way to teach a subject or explain an answer. As a teacher, I have had many of my student's parents tell me that their child's least favorite subject became their favorite for the very first time. Patience and understanding are the two most important traits that any teacher or personal tutor can possess.
