My name is Katie and I'm originally from FL and moved to NYC a little over 12 years ago for college. To give you a sense of my experience working with children, I've worked at a girl scout camp as a counselor and horse camp director with girls ages 6 - 16. I've also worked as a counselor at a co-ed camp with boys and girls ages 6 - 16 running the arts and crafts program and recreational program. I am currently tutoring a 12 year old boy in 7th grade math. I'm currently working as a Project Engineer with very flexible hours. And ongoing, I have 2 younger half brothers ages 9 and 16 that I tutor over Skype in FL whenever a homework problem arises.

Children respond very well to my tutoring style. I'm very patient and will help build confidence in your child's abilities to learn. I had an amazing 4th grade math teacher and credit him with my success to this day in pursuing engineering as a professional career. I can only hope that I can pass on his passion for teaching to pay it forward in another child's life.
