My name is Nancy. I have tutored children of all ages and grades, from elementary up to high school. I have been tutoring since 2003, and have tutored many children in that time. All my students have showed an astounding improvement in grades and have achieved academic excellence under my tutelage. "To teach is to repeat", therefore I have worked very hard in achieving a heightened level of patience in order to offer the best experience possible to my students.
I worked at the New York Hall of Science for more than 4 years. Working at this science museum has exposed me to a distinct learning style which I hope to implement with my future students. The ability to explain large concepts to any mind is a skill I have learned and mastered. I am eager to put my skills to good use.
I have also become proficient in working with adults. I have taught adult computer classes; for beginners and advanced students. In the class we covered all topics, from typing, creating a document, saving, printing, email, and how to use Microsoft programs. In the process, I have been able to sharpen my computer and teaching skills. Each step has furthered my experience as an educator.
