My name is Brad and I am a graduate student in Cognitive Psychology. I have a B.A. in Psychology and English Literature (double-major) from Wagner College, a M.S. in Cognitive Psychology from Binghamton University, and I'm working toward my Ph.D in Cognitive Psychology, also at Binghamton University.
Teaching is my greatest passion, and I've taught college courses at my university in many areas, including General Psychology, Cognition, Perception, and Psychology and Interactive Media. I've received a Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and am consistently rated very highly by my students both in official teaching evaluations and on RateMyProfessors.com.
As I am currently in grad school just putting the finishing touches on my PhD, my schedule is rather flexible and I am available almost ANY time of day or night for online or webcam based tutoring. In fact, afternoons, evenings, and nights are probably best, though depending on your circumstances I'm sure we can find an arrangement. I am also located in the Binghamton, NY area and am willing to travel short distances to meet in person if that is preferred.
In the future I hope to become a college professor in Psychology. What I enjoy most, however, is having a one-on-one connection with students, which is exactly what tutoring provides that teaching large classes often does not. Helping someone grasp concepts that may have once seemed out of reach (and being able to witness those 'light-bulb' moments firsthand!) gives me greater joy than most aspects of teaching. I look forward to making connections here and helping people learn!
