ACT Math

Allow me to use the experience that I have gained by teaching and tutoring hundreds of precalculus students to help you gain further knowledge of such basic functions as the absolute value, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. My precalculus students appreciate reviewing not only the definitions and methods illustrated in their textbooks and classes but also my derivations of important concepts and their applications. We review important concepts such as: the basics of functions including: graphing, finding their inverses and compositions of functions; graphing transformations of basic functions; complex numbers; the unit circle; maximizing word problems and other word problems.

Algebra 1

Allow me to use the experience that I have gained by teaching and tutoring hundreds of Algebra students to help you gain further knowledge of such basic functions as the absolute value, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. My Algebra students appreciate reviewing not only the definitions and methods illustrated in their textbooks and classes but also my derivations of important concepts and their applications. We review important concepts such as: the basics of functions including: factoring, graphing, finding their inverses and compositions of functions; graphing transformations of basic functions; complex numbers; rate problems, maximizing word problems and other word problems.

Algebra 2

Allow me to use the experience that I have gained by teaching and tutoring hundreds of algebra students to help you gain further knowledge of such basic concepts as algebraic expressions, functions, solving systems of linear equations, inequalities, factoring. Functions and equations that are reviewed are the absolute value, linear, quadratic, and other polynomial functions, rational, radical, logarithmic and exponential. My algebra students appreciate reviewing not only the definitions and methods illustrated in their textbooks and classes but also my derivations of important concepts and their applications. We review important concepts such as: rate word problems, scientific notation, the basics of functions including: graphing, finding their inverses and compositions of functions; long division of polynomials and synthetic division and complex numbers.

Calculus

Allow me to use the experience that I have gained by teaching and tutoring hundreds of Calculus students to help you gain further knowledge of such basic calculus concepts as limits, derivatives, integrals, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions and their applications to Calculus and Infinite Sequences and Series.

My Calculus students appreciate reviewing not only the definitions and methods illustrated in their textbooks and classes but also my derivations of important concepts and their applications, especially to word problems.

Discrete Math

I have a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from City College of CUNY.
I am currently teaching at Hunter College as a Lecturer, I have also taught Elementary Math, Algebra, Finite Mathematics, PreCalculus, Introductory and Intermediate Statistics both online and offline at other CUNY and non-CUNY colleges, including The City College of CUNY, La Guardia Community College of CUNY, St. Francis College and Berkeley College, overall I have been teaching for 15 years.
I have also been tutoring for the past 5 years Elementary Math, Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus students, amongst others, at Hunter College's Dolciani Math Learning tutoring center.

Elementary Math

Allow me to use the experience that I have gained by teaching and tutoring hundreds of algebra students to help you gain further knowledge of algebraic expressions, angles, fractions, ratios, percentages, speed, circles, and word problems.
