Education has always been important to me and I have striven to maintain academic excellence at all times. I'm acclimated to rigors and effort involved in succeeding at school. I graduated from Stuyvesant High School, was a national Merit Scholarship Finalist, and achieved many other awards and accolades throughout my graduate and undergraduate career. I recently graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Economics.

I started tutoring while an undergraduate and have continued tutoring for the past 4 years. My students are a diverse bunch from varying backgrounds and with different academic strengths. Whether it is a gifted high school senior taking AP Statistics or a recent immigrant struggling in a new environment, all of my students have benefited from my breadth of knowledge and patient instruction. I take pride in motivating students to stay focused and keep moving forward. I've experienced firsthand the difference a competent tutor can make in a student's life and therefore take the success of my students very seriously. It really is a wonderful feeling to see others do well and know you played a part in it.

I specialize in teaching Math up to Calculus, Statistics, Economics, English, the SAT, SHSAT, and the various NYS Regents exams.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Poker

I've played poker for ten years now. I fell in love with the game in high school and have played hundreds of thousands of hands and won over 5,000 dollars playing casually. I've read books and watched training videos and am familiar with advanced concepts like building a range for your opponents hand, bet sizing, and implied pot odds.

Regents

I've been tutoring New York City schoolchildren for four years now, and have helped many of my students pass the New York State Regents in Algebra, Geometry, US History, Global History, Biology, and English. Currently I am tutoring two students in preparation for the Global, US History, Geometry, and Algebra Regents.
